                                    SCSNM 1ST BUSINESS MEETING

 

President Tanya Pettigrew called the meeting to order at 8:17 am

Tanya thanked the vendors and members for a successful meeting.

Tanya then introduced the current Board members. Brian Huskey- President Elect,Nakia Reynolds Robinson- Secretary, Betty Corley- Treasurer, Kathi Knight- Executive Secretary, Anna Homono and Cindi Luckett-Gilbert Board members.

 

Tanya then introduces the South Eastern Nuclear Medicine Society’s current President Nancy McDonald Deloach.

 

Nancy gave a report from the Society of Nuclear Medicine.

 

The treasurer reported by Betty Corley.  Our beginning Balance of Jan 8,2011 was $8,668.72 and the ending balance as of the start of today’s meeting was $26.563.07.  The balance will change as more income comes in from more members and affiliates are to pay today.  As of now the Dave Randsdell Memorial fund is $17,098.95.  Betty also mentions that our society membership is down this year by 34/33 members.  The meeting attendance is reported at 168. Betty asked if there wee any additions or amendments to the business report.  There was a motion to accept the business /treasurer report.  A 2nd motion accepted.

 

Committee Report

 

Cindi Luckett-Gilbert gave the legislative report.  She reported information about a fall meeting with SCQRSA and how dual modalities specific to CT stands in South Carolina.  She also reported about the Care Bill.  Cindi also asked if your facility was visited by Joint Commission and any out of the ordinary issues that you would be concerned about please report it to Cindi.  You can find her on the SCSNM.org website.

 

Jessica Riley gave a recap about the meeting today.  Our annual spring meetings’ theme this year is Carnival in Columbia.  She also told members to please visit the vendors. In our package there is a verification form to get initial by all the vendor representatives. You will be in a drawing for a prize if the form is completely filled out.  Intermed and Insight will only be in attendance today so get their initials today.  The society also has provided drink tickets in the package after the 2nd business has ended.

Triad Pharmacy is sponsoring a get together at Jillian’s at 7pm.  Please get parking passes from Laura Bardi.  Please fill out the survey about this year’s spring meeting.

Next year annual spring meeting is hosted in Greenville.  The society ahs reserved 85 rooms. Please RSVP rooms via SCSNM. Jessica will have information on the SCSNM website. Also NC Society of Nuclear Medicine has talked about a joint meeting with us.  They have approximately 130 members.  Please give your opinion on the website.  Again please visit the vendors and student and Tech displays.

 

Kathi Knight presented information about a By Law Change. The Proposed by Law change has been submitted for discussion at the annual meeting.

 

New Business-

Brian Huskey- President elect gave a brief Introduction of nominees for offices.  President Elect are Terry Roy and Nancy Heikkila and Treasure is Shaun Williamson.  Tanya opened the floor for any more write in nominations.  Tanya closed the nominations.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:58

                                                SCSNM 3rd Business Meeting

 

Tanya called meeting to order at 11:45 pm

There was no old business

New Business

 The winners of student essays and displays were presented; the winners for essays are 3rd place Brandon Johnson, 2nd place Melinda Brown and Phillip Capers, and 1st place were Rick Williams and Brooke Jackson. The winners of student exhibits are 2nd place Brittany Gateway, and 1st place is Aubrey Baker. Terry Roy won 1st place for technologist exhibit display.  The next award is the Dave Randsdell Memorial Fund Scholarship.  Melinda Brown was this year recipient. She was awarded $1500. The first installment is $500.

 

Technologist of the Year was awarded to Jessica Riley.

 

Cindi Luckett Gilbert did the swearing in of the new Officers, - Shaun Williamson (Treasurer), Terry Roy ( President-Elect) and Brian Huskey (President)

 

Anna Homono gave a presentation to ending of Tanya Pettigrew’s term of Presidency.

 

Betty Corley is retiring her official duties as of treasure.

The gavel has been turned over to Brian Huskey (President).

Fall Meeting is Oct 15,2011 at Midlands Technical college.

Brian motions the meeting to be adjourned at 12:00. A 2nd motion was accepted.
